The North Pacific Fishery Management Council is one of eight regional councils established by the Magnuson-Stevens Fishery Conservation and Management Act in 1976 to manage fisheries in the 200-mile Exclusive Economic Zone.

June 2025 Meeting

Committee Nominations – Ecosystem, IFQ, and PNCIAC
The Council is soliciting nominations for the Ecosystem Committee, IFQ Committee, and Pacific Northwest Crab Industry Advisory Committee (PNCIAC). Please note that there are different deadlines for each committee’s vacancies.
Comment Period: Spatial Planning Study to Identify Draft AOA Options
NOAA Fisheries announced a 30-day comment period on a preliminary marine spatial planning study to identify Aquaculture areas in Alaska state waters.
